In the spirit of Stupid Robot Fighting League, what better way to start blogging about a product than to talk about Rock’em Sock’em Robots.

If you are not familiar with what  Rock’em Sock’em Robots is then please check out a game play video.

As Rock’em Sock’em Robots is probably the closest this I can find, I’m grateful for the fact that the idea is to remove the head of the opposing robot. This really speaks volumes to Stupid Robot Fighting League.

Each person operating each robot is called a “Manager”. If you can work out from the picture each “Manager” holds the corresponding joystick of their robot. The joystick allows a small amount of movement and the yellow buttons operate the punching of the robot.

The heads of the robots are spring loaded so once to land a good enough punch to your opponent the switch heeping the head from popping up releases and that is the round over for you. Push the head back down and we are ready to go again.

I’ve seen both young and old have a good bash with these. This game is some good brainless fun.
